I am currently studying an engineering and computer related undergraduate degree at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia. I choose to remain anonymous to avoid any potential loss of marks as a result of criticising the content of subjects I am taking, or the teaching style of the lecturers.

I have programmed as a hobby for the majority of my life. My preferred languages are C# and assembly language (and I have spent a lot of time with VB6). I am often misinterpreted as having a grudge against OO techniques, but really, I just get very upset at how OO is promoted (at Swinburne at least) as The Way™ to program.

Incidentally, I believe The Way™ is a Terry Pratchett reference, but I can’t remember. Read all his books and find out
